Hi 

I am trying to install and config EV during the installation Exchange server is not getting detected. may be due to RPC service not enabled ?

I am unable to download the attachment 32113.doc. 

My issue. I am installing EV14.5, the system is not discovering the exchange, am suspecting the RPC not running on the servers. Could you please help me with the minimum ports and services to be running on Exchange for journal archive

it could be ports as you said.
what is deployment scanner is showing you.you can find the required ports in the below:
Destination ports required by Enterprise Vault (veritas.com)
no specefic requirement for journal archive, other than you will add the journal mailbox from exchange and adding it to EV.
if you have multiple exchange, try to specify one mailbox in the EV hosts file, to avoid loadbalancer (if you have any).
what is  it showing you,when you are trying to add an exchange to EV?

What is the Exchange, EVault and outlook (EV server) version?
