SQL server CPU spike

Good day,

We have a set of 4 application servers (linux)

and 1 SQL always on clustered DB db server.

We have taken a VM based backup (quiesced) of the application servers whirch works fine.

But while the backup was running we noticed that the CPU of the SQL server hit 100%. 

My question is thus: Could running a quiesced backup of the application server cause an impact on the DB server CPU usage seeing that the buffers are being flushed during this operation?

does this happens everytime you take backup of that SQL VM?
what is the process that consuming the CPU?
Do you have Antivirus and did you done the exclusion of Netabckup agent directory, processes?
what is the configuration of the net backup SQL backup job?
