RDX Configuration Fails
I just installed Backup Exec and was trying to set up an RDX drive. Operating system is Windows Server 2019. The disk sets up ok but when it goes to configure if gives a configuration failed message and just says that "the parameter is incorrect". Can't figure out how to resolve. How to configure AWS VTL to Netbackup master server 7.7.3
Hi Support Experts, We want to test the AWS VTL with netbackup 7.7.3 . aws gatway VM deployed in on-primises and now we need to test it. Can some one let me know what are the steps I need to follow now at netbackup server end? Our backup infrastrucure is on Solaris server( 1 Master, 3 media server, 2 physical tape library, 2 existing Quantim Dxi VTL library), now they want to configure backup with AWS VTL and then once testing done they want remove all phycal tape libraries and will run all solaris server backup on AWS VTL. Will I need to create a linux media server to connect it to storage gateway VTL (deplyed on Linux VM) through iSCSI connection & wheather it would be physical server or VM linux machine would be fine? NetBackup 8.3 nbdeployutil
Hi Experts, In a Linux environment, some NetBackup component programs, like nbdeployutil, in NetBackup 8.2 and previous versions, relied on /tmp to run their executables. This created issues in our openscap secured environments where /tmp has very limited space and mounted noexec. Were changes made in NetBackup 8.3 to completely remove reliance on /tmp for executables and run in /opt/openv/tmp or other configurable location? Smart Meter/TaaS reporting is affected directly by nbdeployutil's inability to run successfully. Also, there is no customer feedback that Smart Meter reporting has not occurred in the last x days.
