how to create Dedupe Storage Locations using DLO

DLO-Desktop Agent Versionskompatibilität fehlgeschlagen
Hallo! Hab seit gestern ein komisches Verhalten des DLO Agents. Beim Starten erhalte ich auf Windows 7 Clients die Fehlermeldung 'Überprüfung der Versionskompatibilität fehlgeschlagen'. Auf dem Server wiederum werde ich beim Aufrufen der DLO-Konsole jedesmal zum Eingeben des Recoverypassworts aufgefordert. Wir haben Version 7 Build 70049a im Einsatz. Gibt es dazu eine Lösung? The wizard was interrupted before installation symantec dlo client could not be completely installed
Hi. We have the same issue here with verion 8. Funny thing seems that we cant install manually on Dell laptops, like M388 and Latitude 7250 but works on Lenovo machines... We use SCCM to distribute win 7 ent. 64 bit. Users are local admin and UAC are disabled... I am trying to install a new installation of DLO 7.6 on a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 server. The domain setup account I'm using has all the neccessary priveleges (. Unfortunately I cannot install the SQL Server 2012 express packaged with DLO. This is the required rights list: Local Policy Object Display Name User Right Backup files and directories SeBackupPrivilege Debug Programs SeDebugPrivilege Manage auditing and security log SeSecurityPrivilege This is the actual user rights for the setup account. Unable to connect to DLO Administration Server.Failed to load configuration settings

Hello I installed DLO 7.5 and I cant configure Dedupe server. When I enter port numbers (i'm using wizard) and click next, the DLO Console hangs out. DLO should use my MS SQL Express R2 database. For test I installed DLO with its MS SQL Express and with this configuration i can configure dedupe. But with my database i cant. Ports 8080 and 8443 are opened. I'm using WIndows Server 2008 R2. I also downloaded DLO SP1 and I got a link for the license but the license link was removed from box......Now am still struggling to get the slf for DLO. Am worried how am I going to test it to show my customer coz he wants a software that can backup his laptops and desktops.......can you please help me to get an alternative link or a site were I can get the slf. Hello, Some of my users have their DLO clients disabled when they log in to a machine. The clients show the following error until the user opens the DLO Interface and clicks Refresh: "There is a problem with configuration on this computer. The Desktop Agent will remain disabled until the problem has been corrected by your administrator. Your administrator has been notified" I have checked KB: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH159010 which seems like it should fix the problem but it does not. All the users/machines that are having this issue were on a different DLO server but that server was retired and a new one created. A user that has never before logged into the client computer doesn't have this issue, their DLO client starts up just fine. My major concern is that someone is going to do a lot of work on a machine and not have any backups because their DLO client is disabled. Any ideas?
