HI there, my client has asked whether the could directly query the index database for specific content? The client has a lots of CDR's which contains phone numbers, timestamps etc! Could he for example query the database to how offen a phone number appear in the database between 2022 and 2024? Thank for your numerous response!AlexNtowGH8 days agoLevel 431Views0likes1CommentElasticsearch JVM heap size over 90%
Hi, We have 3 server with archiving and Indexing services, sometimes we getting Elasticsearch JVM heap size over 90%, and search stop working for the index in that server, restart the index service and work again, I create a powershell script to monitor (https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100061339), can see at the end. What can I do to prevent this to happen, should I increase the Elasticsearch JVM heap size value ?(https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100060258) I'm in EV 15.0 no fixes (yet) # Define the remote computer's name or IP address $remoteComputer = "evserver" # Define the script block to get the performance counter data $scriptBlock = { $JVMCounter = Get-Counter '\Enterprise Vault Indexing (Elasticsearch)(*)\JVM heap size % used' [pscustomobject]@{ Server = $env:COMPUTERNAME Name = $JVMCounter.CounterSamples.CookedValue } } Invoke-Command -ComputerName $remoteComputer -ScriptBlock $scriptBlockTonaco_pt29 days agoModerator61Views1like2CommentsLatest support matrix has dropped support for 14.x on Server 2012 R2.
Hi, I have a query why Server 2012 R2 has been dropped for EV 14.x in the latest compatibility matrix. Previous versions of the matrix said the Sever 2012 R2 is supported for EV 14.x. I have attached a screenshot of the previous matrix. How can it be supported one month then dropped from support another month for the same EV version?Solvedsunny11130 days agoLevel 2651Views0likes2CommentsVeritas Enterprise Vault performance issue

Hi, After upgrading to version 15.1, we noticed that some menu options are missing in the Administration Console. Specifically, the Personal Storage Management section is no longer expandable and only shows the PST Dashboard, with no access to the PST Overview or other related options. Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does anyone have a solution?28Views0likes2CommentsEnterprise Vault Add-in on the New Outlook

Hello, We have a situation in which a VS database is corrupted and there is no backup of it available. In addition, huge amount of partition data was deleted the hard way - files were just deleted from the file system. I´m trying to work around this, so I created a new VS, and my intention is moving as much as possible data to a new VS / partition from the old VS whose database is corrupted, but the process fails when the maxfailedItemcount threshold is reached, which is expected in this case. Question: Is there a way to override any failed items count?Jose_Luis_Per13 months agoLevel 523Views0likes2CommentsEV mailbox license challenges
Hi I am looking for a guidance to know appropriate number of licensed users of EV for mailbox archive. I am fine using usage summary report OR anything from logs (e.g. IIS) / SQL/PowerShell. Please apologies however I am not confident enough if Veritas tool (EVLA..ETC) gives correct picture of licensing. For any legal OR licensing perspective, this is very difficult to find out who is the actual user for EV. Here is my thought. • Mailbox archive by EV when it used to exist in exchange servers. Now if mailbox moved to EXO however, he may OR may not access the archive depending upon usage. For e.g. he may access EV for 1-2 month or maximum a year. Now since one-year emails are being archived by EXO then it’s rare user will look into EV archive. This situation AD a/c still exist. This may not reflect actual EV licensed user. Additionally, organisation pay double archiving fees as one is EXO second for legacy EV archived emails . • User left organisation and his EV archive still exist. For any reason say for example, retrieving important email, permission is assigned to his manager then again this will be eligible for license. • A shared mailbox archive either inactive or active, permission is granted to team members then the all-group member will be eligible for license. In my opinion, the license should be there only for a mailbox that is active in on-premises and archived by EV. All AD user account of shouldn’t be eligible for license. There could be best practice such as below. Mark in-active archives. E.g. User is migrated to EXO or left OR where there is no need to access to old, archived emails. • Remove permission from archive those are marked as in-active. This is good options instead of deleting archive. • Remove unnecessary permission archives from shared mailbox OR user left from mailbox. Please help me if anyone have similar challenges and have better high-level plan. Regards Pradeep PapnaiSolvedpapnai-pradeep23 months agoLevel 043Views0likes2Comments
