Your server administrator has limited the number of items you can open simultaneously
Users are getting te following msg: Your server administrator has limited the number of items you can open simultaneously. Try closing messages you have opened or removing attachments and images from unsent messages you are composing and in exchange events I see : MAPI session (user) exceeded the maximum of 250 objects of type "objmessage". I found this https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/your-server-administrastor-has-limited-number-items-you-can-open-simultaneously but the links are broken and they are saying that there is a fix for 9.0.1. We have version 10.0.4 (clean installation, not upgrade) Any ideas? SarahSolvedSarah_Seftel110 years agoLevel 659KViews0likes3CommentsOWA 2003 Redir.ASP

Hi! This may not be the right place for this question, but where can I download the latest version of the Enterprise Vault Outlook Add-In? We have licensing, etc., but I've searched all over the site with no luck. Also tried calling Symantec customer service, which was honestly a nightmare, and I never got an answer. Any help would be much appreciated!Solved45KViews1like5CommentsEV 9.0 - VSA - username is correct, password is wrong on Domain Controller
We are using a Windows 2003 Enterprise Vault 9.0 for File Server Archiving solution. We have stopped actively archiving a year or so ago, and are trying to recover all documents from this installation. Recently we found that the domain based Vault Service Account (VSA) for EV was locking out every 5 to 10 minutes. The 2008 Domain Controllers (in the same domain as the EV installation) show error code C000006a, which is "username is correct but password is wrong". When the account is unlocked, access to the NAS, database, file servers and EV server is successful. The VSA is in the local administrators group in all necessary locations, including sysadmin rights on the SQL server. This has been working successfully for 5 years or more. For troubleshooting purposes, we reduced the environment down to 1 EV server, 1 database server, a NAS, 1 SQL server and no file server clients (the 3 EV services on the file servers using the service account have been disabled). Only 2 services are running on the EV server , the Admin Service and the Directory Service. The VSA password has been "reset" (but not changed) on the domain controller, has been reset on the 2 running services of the EV server, and has been reset on the EV server's Administration Console. We find that it takes 5 to 10 minutes to see the error message again on the domain controller. Once we unlock it, not reset the password, the VSA account has all the accesses it needs until it locks again. Has anybody seen this before? I am familiar with EV but not to the extent to read a dtrace file and know what's happening. Even then I'm not sure what to perform a dtrace on other than the 2 running services and the AuthServer, which I believe I have done. Anybody experienced this issue and successfully resolved it?Solvedarlw7 years agoLevel 331KViews0likes5CommentsOUTLOOK: Can't open archived/stored emails
Hello, Since this week Microsoft updates, Outlook (2010/2016) can't open archived/stored items. Maybe, Outlook is blocking VBScript of custom forms. I'm using EV Client 10/11. To view an email, the users must "restore" to the mailbox and then open it. The message is: This item has been archived by Enterprise Vault. Click here to view the original item (this link doesn't work). Thank you.WinHTTP proxy settings breaking WUA for anyone else?
We have active/passive Exchange 2003 clusters, and we also have active/passive EV 2007 clusters (using MSCS). Our proxy bypass list looks like this on the mailbox servers. (The forum changed some content due to some of it looking like invalid HTML, hopefully it all makes sense still. :) exchange-virtual-server-ip; local; ev-sitename; ev-sitename.ourdomain.local; ev-server1; ev-server1.ourdomain.local; ev-server1alias; ev-server1alias.ourdomain.local; ev-server1_node_a; ev-server1_node_a.ourdomain.local; ev-server1_node_b; ev-server1_node_b.ourdomain.local; Well, every time we do an EV upgrade, our WSUS updates break until I remove the proxy bypass list on the mailbox servers using 'proxycfg -D'. What does your bypass list look like? I'm thinking we'll need to add the exchange cluster node names/IPs, and maybe the WSUS server too. Exchange and EV have no proxies/firewalls between tehm, so I don't even think we need this bypass list even though it was part of the install. Guys, I started to use File Management Software (Enterprise Vault) to decrease number of files on Vault Partition, now all saveset files (DVS) are combined in larger collection files (CAB). It was used for long period of time without any problem. After new year I backuped first partition and closed it. All archiving is done now to new partition. EV version is 5.0 SP3 on Windows 2000. Yesterday one of the user complained on strange error. He opens archived item, but if he closes it and try to re-open ot he receives error - "there was an error opening the file.
