Encountering 'Volume is not available' Error in CloudPoint Backup Jobs
Hello I have faced issue while using Veritas CloudPoint for data protection. Whenever I try to run a backup job, I encounter the following error: "Volume is not available." This error message appears in the CloudPoint interface, preventing the backup job from completing successfully. Even after diligently following the troubleshooting steps outlined in the CloudPoint documentation provided by Veritas, I am not able to resolve this issue. I'm currently using CloudPoint version 2.1.3. The backup target is an AWS S3 bucket configured with the following settings: Bucket name: "cloudpoint-backups" Region: "us-west-2" The bucket is configured with appropriate access permissions to allow CloudPoint to write backup data. The bucket is configured with the Standard storage class for optimal performance and durability. Server-side encryption with AWS Key Management Service (KMS) is enabled to ensure data security during storage. The bucket is configured with lifecycle policies to automatically transition objects to the Glacier storage class for long-term archiving.For more information on AWS S3 bucket configuration, checked AWS S3 documentation. The CloudPoint server is deployed in a hybrid environment with on-premises servers and cloud resources. The network configuration includes firewall rules and VPN connections to facilitate data transfer between the CloudPoint server and the backup target. Hello! Looking for help, please. My situation is the following: I was faced with an enviroment with an old CloudPoint server that failed on upgrading, resulting in the loss of the images and configuration. Upon fresh installation of a new VM of the Snapshot Manager 10.3, i promptly configured the Cloud Section of the Web UI Primary server and added the provider configuration (Azure). All the permissions have been granted to the Snapshot Manager regarding Azure. Protection Plans created, protected assets selected. Problem is, even thou the jobs are coming through with status 0, i am unable to find any recovery points for the assets. Also, upon investigation, i found on the Storage -> Snapshot Manager section, that the Primary Server is configured as a Snapshot Server, with the old version (10.0). This was done on the old configuration and i have no idea as to why it is present there. Trying to connect does not work, error code 25 as well as retrieving version information. Trying to add the new Snapshot Manager will result in Entity alredy exists error message. Could this storage configuration be related? If so, any suggestions as how to fix it? (I am also unable to delete the old Cloudpoint from the Web UI, but it is disabled) Primary server version is 10.3 New Snapshot Manager is 10.3 Old Cloudpoint was 10.0, already decomissioned. Hello everyone, We recently upgrade our lab environment to Netbackup version 10.2 and we are trying to configure Snapshot Manager plug-in to a Hitachi Storage SAN using Web UI. In field "Hitachi Configuration Manager Server IP" I fill with IP, but Netbackup insist adding "https" protocol instead of "http". A command line to use instead Web UI? Understand about Protection Plan as they have selected 1 hr. for Snapshot Backup and 4 hrs. for Longest Backup retention but still old dated PVCs snapshot entry present on GCP console. Do you have any idea when those entries will be deleted from GCP ? They don’t have any active image copy in Catalog. Hi community, Trying to install Primary, Media and Snapshot server from Marketplace in Azure, but always got error with deployment of Snapshot server. For deployment using already created user managed identity with Owner rights. It is successfully creates all prerequisites and stuck on VMscaleSet explosing error. How troubleshoot this? Hello Gyus, I am trying to register my cloudpoint on-premise host to my netbackup master server however I am not able to register and getting the below error: The CloudPoint server's certificate is not valid or doesn't exist. Hello. I am unable to configure the Pure Storage plugin on CloudPoint. The image is restarting every minute.
