crcontrol command details
Hello All. We have a backup solution based on two W2008R2 servers running NetBackup 7.0.1 with MSDP feature. We have a critical mistake in build (wrong drive used for MSDP DB) and we are looking the way to sort it out. Symantec support denied us. crcontrol command has three keys that could help us to backup this DB, reconfigure CR and restore DB to correct drive. But there is no info in --help about those keys (PSB). Checked deduplication/NetBackup commands manuals - no luck. Could somebody provide a manual which describes those keys? Thank you in advance. Can someone explain the difference between De-Duplication and incremental backup ? The incremental backup takes the changes from previous backup and it backs up the changed data and De-Duplication also does the same right ?5KViews1like7CommentsRDSM has encountered an issue with STS where the server was not found
Hi My system is Windows Server 2008 R2 and Netbackup 7 with Deduplication. The Disk Pool is on a SAN connecting through iSCSI. For about 1 month the backups and deduplication wasrunning fine. Since yesterday night I'm having a problem. I did not apply any patches nor changes on the running system. The backups failed with status: no storage units available for use (213). The iSCSI Lun is connected with Netbackup 7, so the connection is not the problem. Under Devices - Disk Pools the message appear: RDSM has encountered an issue with STS where the server was not found: getDiskVolumeInfo Under Credentials - Storage Servers you see: RDSM has encountered an issue with STS where the server was not found: getStorageServerConfig I can't find any information what this have to be.4.4KViews0likes6CommentsMax size for ddup storage
Hi I am in th process of removing the tape backups from my enivroment. I backup 12tbon a single month end. Iam planning to put in 250tb ofdisk in aPuredisk pool. I run 7.6.1 on a 2012r2 server. I am not clear if i will be able to use the full 250tb for aPuredisk pool, as you can only have onePuredisk pool per server this may make my 250tb a bit overkill. Any info would really be helpfull.Solved4.4KViews0likes2CommentsClient - Media - PureDisk Linux network traffic
Hello everyone. We have a backup solution and I am trying to find a bottleneck. Configuration is as follows: Veritas SFHA clustered Master server running NBU 7.5.0.6 on RHEL6.1. Number of Media servers. And 3 pairs of PureDisk 6.5.5pools as a storage servers. My concern is: How does network traffic flow during backup assuming clientside deduplication is enabled? I tried tcpdump and appears that it is client - media - puredisk and vica-versa. But there arenbstproxy processes. Appreciate on any assistance. Thank you.Solved4.1KViews0likes2CommentsAbout Pure Disk
