OpsCenter to Aptare migration path
What will be the migration path to go from OpsCenter to Aptare ? Will we be able to convert/save our existing backup data or do we have to start from scratch in Aptare and keep OC around for a few years until its 60+ GB of data is no longer useful ? Is there a migration path for all of the custom reports we have as well ?Solvedjnardello6 years agoModerator3KViews0likes2CommentsBuild a Report to lookup by policy name
Ok, the more I use NBUITA the more questions I have. :) In working with auditors, we need a report where we can lookup backups based on host name or policy type (i.e. DB2) or by backup policy name and this needs to be able to be based on a date or date range. It's easy enough to do in OpsCenter but that's going away. Fields needed are: Client Host Name, Policy Name, Job Start Date/Time, Job End Date/Time, Job Final Status (i.e. 150, 156, 2, 0) and Job Final Status Message (i.e. Successful, Failed) Going through all this under the Dynamic Template builder is crazy time consuming because you have to try and find the right field to plug into the report for the right information needed. Custom report building in NBUITA could be a LOT Easier and maybe the development team needs to work as a NetBackup Administrator for a large company to see how ITA can better be suited for those that aren't developing ITA?DPeaco2 years agoModerator2.3KViews0likes13CommentsAptare - Getting backup clients to show up in reports ?
I have created host groups with the intent of have a host group for each supporting System Administrator and then create reports for each specific host group and send that report to that specific SysAdmin. Been working well so far, but I added some hosts to a SysAdmin host group and I'm getting backups reported for about half the list. I can't figure out how to get it to report on all the hosts in the list. The OpsCenter report shows the correct host list with current backups but Aptare appears to be skipping a few hosts in the host group list. I can't get it to report on a single host that is not being reported on in the host group report list. What's the trigger or what should I be looking for that is causing some backup clients to be reported on and other not?DPeaco2 years agoModerator2.2KViews1like12CommentsReport for Dedupe Rate Per Policy Type grouped by Media Server
Greetings, We are still migrating reports off of OpsCenter over to NBUITA. I would like to know how to put together a report that gives me the Dedupe rate for a given timeframe by backup policy type and by Media Server. Something like: Past 30 days: MediaServer-1 - Average dedupe rate - 88.32 % MediaServer-2 - Average dedupe rate - 68.99 % and etc.DPeaco2 years agoModerator2.1KViews0likes12CommentsVeritas APTARE IT Analytics is now NetBackup IT Analytics

NBU IT Analytics 11.2 - Custom Reports and Filters
Greetings, I'm trying to figure out how to do all those fancy filters to get the data output I need in report. An example would be - how do I create a report that will give me the backup results for several specific backup policies that are named something like: dly_bkup_host_db2, dly_bkup_host2_db2, dly_bkup_host3_db2, and etc for up to like 20 policies. I don't need *_db2 because that would be WAY MORE than what I need. Anybody does this yet?SolvedDPeaco2 years agoModerator1.9KViews0likes9Commentsopscenter Netbackup IT analytics upgrade
Hi @ all We are at the point to upgrade our netbackup Master/Media (appliance) from 9.1 to 10.1.1 but our opscenter is running on 9.1 version. 1. Do we need to upgrade the Opscenter first ? or we can upgrade the appliance before 2. the last version of opscenter is 9.1, how to upgrade the opscenter to NB IT analytics 11.0 ? is it just a new install of NB IT analytics ? can it be in the same server of the opscenter as we will not use it anymore? 3. is there a procedure link ? thank you a lot for your precious help :)SolvedRiadh_R172 years agoLevel 51.9KViews0likes5CommentsIntegration of NITA (NetBackup IT Analytics) with Azure has failed.
Hi Everyone, Based on the prerequisite document, we have successfully created the application and roles for NITA & Azure integration. However, we encountered an authentication error during the configuration of the NITA policy for Azure. Following the NITA Cloud guide, we supplied the following details: - Offer ID - Tenant ID - Application ID Additionally, we provided the password associated with the Application ID (the registered Microsoft Azure application). Despite these efforts, an authentication error persisted. Any ideas on where to start? Many thanks! IftekharSolvedIftekhar_Dalvi2 years agoLevel 31.8KViews0likes9Comments
