Netbackup self service compatiblity with Master server hosted over Flex appliance
Hello, I am trying to add NetBackup master server hosted over Flex appliance in Netbackup self service but after adding the Master server check connectivity option not working. As per Netbackup self service configuration guide prereqesties are : The user account that NetBackup Self Service uses to logon to SSH on the master server needs sudo configuration: ■ The user account should not use requiretty. ■ The user account should not require a sudo password. ■ With sudo, the user account should run all commands in /usr/openv/netbackup/bin and /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd. So i created new user on Netbackup master server and give superuser rights to user. so that user can execute all netbackup commands without sudo.But still check connectivity option not working. Is there any sperate procedure to add Netbackup master server (hosted on Flex appliance) in Netbackup self service ? In Netbackup self service documentation and Flex appliance documentation no procedure found.Veritas NetBackup Self Service
Mates, Wish you a Happy New Year. I have the below queries regarding the NetBackup Self Service. 1. Will a user be able to perform granular restore (file/folder) from a VM Image based backup? 2. Can we set permission to a user in such a way that he is having access/premissions to perform backup and restores only for the Servers (VM/Physical) for which he is the owner? 3. Do we require additional licenses for NetBackup Self Service?
Netbackup upgrade from 8.3.0.2 to 10.1.1 - Linux Redhat
Hey everyone. We are in the planning stages of upgrading our netbackup environment from 8.3.0.2 to 10.1.1. Has anybody completed this upgrade before. Our catalog is over 1TB. Does anyone know how long the upgrade takes? Any gotcha's? Thank you,David

Hello JonHunt Ben_Rigby Have you seen this sort of error while we upgrade NSS (customized) from 9.0 to 10.2 ? We have attempted reinstall / Repair of adaptor multiple times but no luck and the error doesnt explains much to us. Please help.
The Virtual Disk service terminated
Hello Experts, We are facing a problem in our environments our windows administrator complained me that his virtual disk service is getting terminated whenever the backup start for that particular host , is this really a problem with Netbakup if well please give me the solution. Client netbackup 7.7.3 OS: windows 2008R2 (virtual). Backup Type is Filesystem Backup of a Database server . Thanks,How to rename a VM during VM restore in NSS
Hello JonHunt /All, I am looking for options to rename a VM and perform VM restore in NSS, how to achieve this as I dont see anything on the form to rename a VM before restoring it. Secondly : I dont see the vmdk restore option on NSS too while it is available through REST-API calls in NSS ?
