Backup Exec 2015 Cloud Backup
Good Day, I am using Backup Exec 2015 and would like to implement backups to the cloud. I would some suggestions as to the best solution. I was thinking about using Backup Exec cloud connector for Microsoft Azure. I wanted to know what is the best and difference between Azure Storage and Azure Backup as a Service. Symantec Backup Exec 2014
Hello to all, I am an intern in a mining company and we want to use a cloud backup solution as we have many small sites spread all over the world. So we are trying to find a solution that meets our needs. After searching about cloud solutions I found Symantec backup exec.cloud. I would like to inform me (if anyone knows) backupexec.cloud is a feature of Symantec backup exec 2014 or is it a product by itself? Furthermore, do we have to rent a space on a cloud company in order to store our data there? Does Symantec offers space for our data if we buy the backupexec.cloud? BE.cloud restore to new computer - files are not accessible: security
Has anyone attempted to restore BE.cloud files to a new computer? I needed to do that for a client who's computer crashed, and every single file is inaccessible because of Windows Security. I am told by support that this is the way the product works. I would have to go through each of the 5,000+ files and change ownership. Any suggestions? Thanks!Solved1KViews0likes1Comment
Robotic library connected to SAN
Hi, I have a robotic Tape Library connected to a SAN through an ISCSI connection. how can i connect the Backup Exec server to view the robotic library with out connecting it to the robotic library directly. Hi , We have one cloud server which has important data. we will create one local server with the same specs and would like to sync the data from the cloud server to the local server on a daily basis after hours and backup the data. Does symantec Backup Exec.Cloud would be ideal for our requirement ? If possible we would also like to backup cloud server data .. is there a way to do that using symantec products ? Now that Symantec has announced that Backup Exec.cloud has only one year left to live, I was wondering what the residents of this forum plan to do to replace it? Starting in January I plan to search for a similar type of product - one that can back-up locally, as well as to the cloud. Performance problems on Backup Exec.cloud
Hello, I've less than 10 desktop/servers backed up with backup exec.cloud. Principally for office data (.doc, .pdf ...). We use this service since march 2013 and in the first times it worked really great.But since late october, the service backup exec.cloud is really, really slow. The backups takes hours for low volume of data ...(when it works). I send emails to the support team of backup exec.cloud > No response. I tried to call them > The phone does not ring... And I'm blocked on this situation since 15 days. Can someone give me information about what's going on with this service ? Connectivity problems on Symantec datacenter ? No Agent Connection on DC
Hi There, I have just created an account and setup the agents for a company we work with over 5 servers. All the agents have installed and are successfully backing up except on the DC's. Both DC's are on Server 2003 Standard and the agent installed without an issue but one will not navigate to the webpage to be able to configure the agent just getting a 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage' and the other server shows the webpage but when you click 'Files and Folder' is shows a message about there not being any folders to backup (or a message similar to that). I have tried uninstalling the agent with the second error but it requires a restart before I can re-install so I need to wait until this evening to do that. Any help here would be great. Very Disapointed
I have installed Backup Exec.Cloud on 3 computers so far I think the product needs lots of help, Mainly the rate at witch data is transferred. All 3 clients had good bandwidth (at least 5MBS up and 20 down) The uploads are taking way to long. This morning i installed a client and selected a folder with about 200 meg in it and 9 hours later it is 20% complete, The other 2 clients are just as slow.
