Please fix the links in the Forum posts, Veritas!
Sure would be nice to have some sort of program go through the forum posts and update referneces to old symantec link and swap in the veritas links, or forward them? Seems like everytime I seach for an answer, I get an inactive link to a symantec HOWTO doc. Kind of defeats the purpose of having the old posts...SolvedGenericus8 years agoModerator7.2KViews1like12CommentsChange the email address used to logon to VOX

Hi All, I have no option to add an article in: VOX>VOX Knowledge > Base Backup and Recovery Knowledge Base >Articles I wonder if I have toreach some level (or become a trusted advisor) to be able to write an article or if it's just my personal issue?SolvedMike_Gavrilov8 years agoLevel 65.7KViews0likes16CommentsVOX links auto redirect to homepage
Facing this odd experience for quiet long however didn't paid attention. Not sure if its me only of someone else from community also experienced similar issue. Pls help Whenever i try navigating blogs or article w.r.t Veritas.com or VOX very often links are redirect back to homepage, and this is very frequent and makes me annoyed alot. This happens with me for only veritas websites (veritas.com and vox) This was not issue before. So far have tried changing OS, browsers (including every version) edge, chrome, firefox.andall possible way of connectivity. This is irrespective of i'm logged into vox. Same is experience for new support portal too. Overall adoption of new UX is welcome but this hiccups are annoyance. Pls help us to get rid of this.vnpanchal7 years agoLevel 25.1KViews2likes10CommentsVOX Login timeout, when writing a detailed message
Argh this Veritas VOX web discussion forum system is so annoying. If I go through the effort of trying to write a long detailed posting, when I finally get to the point of clicking "Post", I get a bizarre message that says "ERROR You do not have permission to post. Press the Back key to leave this page" because it silently logged me off without any warning.. I have to take what I wrote, copy it out to Windows Notepad to make sure I don't lose it, then go back to the main forum list, click login, re-enter my username and password, then re-create a new post, and past back in everything from Windows Notepad. Hey VOX forum programmers, could you make this website here even more annoying and difficult to use? I'm sure you can think of a way to do that. Maybe you could force-close the forum posting page when the user's idle timer expires? I looked through all the user profile preferences, and nowhere can I find a "auto-logoff timer duration" setting or an option to "keep me logged on via a browser cookie, until I explicitly log off".SolvedDale_Mahalko_LH7 years agoLevel 44KViews1like4CommentsBroken links
All links pointing to content created in Symantec Connect do not redirect to Veritas/VOX. The excellent collection ofNuts and Bolts blogs created byAbdul Rasheed are non-functional as they all point to Symantec URLs. See Nuts and Bolts in NetBackup for VMware Pictures in the blogs are also lost. See Nuts and bolts in NetBackup for VMware: Transport methods and TCP ports There are understandably thousands of these broken links.....Marianne9 years agoLevel 64KViews0likes9Commentswhere can I post a blog?
I'd like to post SORT release announcement here, which supports multiple products. Instead of posting in several discussion forums separately, can I post in the blog? I didn't find any button to create, so will you please kindly guide? Thanks, JaneSolvedJane_M7 years agoLevel 34KViews1like3CommentsUnable to edit my own Article
I have mentioned an issue with broken links and missing pictures over a month ago: Broken links After a long search for my 'Frequency based scheduling' article (had to use Google), I managed to locate it: https://vox.veritas.com/t5/Articles/NetBackup-Frequency-Based-Scheduling/ta-p/810193 As with the blogs that I mentioned in the 'Broken Links' post, the all-important picture is missing. I am unable to edit the article to re-add the picture. I also cannot bookmark the article. What would be the reason?SolvedMarianne9 years agoLevel 63.9KViews0likes13CommentsWhere is My Account Activity?
I have not logged into Symantec/Veritas community forums in a month or so. I still have my logon info and account activity for the older symantec forums. But when Veritas took over a 6-12 months ago, they took my recent account activity/posts etc and ported them over to the new site. These were accessible until as far as I Can tell about a month ago where I could login and go to 'My Account Activity' to see my posts. Question How do I go about searching my account activity/posts? There should be 20-30. I see zero. And, I see my screenname was truncated. Is there a character limit for screennames? Thanks.JustTryinToGetI9 years agoLevel 63.8KViews0likes17Comments
