NBU ITA Report for Client backup Growth?

Greetings,

Is there a report for backup clients that show/reports on increased backup size within the past 72 hours? Asking because leadership wants to know which clients are "growing data" causing storage consumption and backup sizes to climb. Maybe a data amount of current and past and then show the percent changed since previous? Any help here would be appreciated.

  • the "80-20 Rule of Problematic Clients" report in the reportlibrary will show the top N clients based on categories of lowest, longest running, largest, most number of files and most failures.

The "Ad Hoc Backup Metric Forecase" will trend client (or group of clients) showing historical and future prediction on the following metrics

    Job Volume(GB),Total Job Count,Successful Job Count,Partial Job Count,Failed Job Count,Client Count,File Count,Duration Hrs

DPeaco - if you run into reports in the library that dont work, let me know - I can assist with that.

I'm a Linux admin and long time backup admin. I'm not a DBA nor do I know how to write an SQL query when it comes to multiple databases with multiple indices to gather a piece of info my management is wanting an answer to. I know all the info I need is IN NBU ITA, but the key is once again - getting useful information OUT of NBU ITA.

I am very aware of the Aptare/NBU ITA library repository, but as you may already know, some of those reports don't work and some do.

That makes two of us (when it comes to query writting,.but that is the ugly truth behind the NITA, and even support will not provide any level of help when it comes to query and customization.

  • Good question I'm looking for a report like that but I didn't find it. Unfortunately we don't have anything in link suggested in post above.

  • I think, https://reportlibrary.veritas.com/ is a good place to look for NITA templates.
for example,"NBU Job Summary Stats by Policy Type" does provide us with the size and if you are good in SQL query , you can customize it further .
