Old host and a new host with the same IP

Greetings,

I'm trying to figure out how to resolve this issue.

Old linux server - server-old with an IP of 10.0.xx.30

It was retire long ago and we weren't notified when it was retired. So I retired it yesterday in NBUITA.
I have a new host server-new with the IP of 10.0.xx.30 (yes, the old IP was reused for the new host)
And I can only find the old host in NBUITA. How is this resolved?

    With that setting enabled, any new host that is collected by ITA will be matched with an existing host (if it exists) based on IP address only.  In an environment where IP addresses are re-used, this can cause the behavior you are seeing.   I would recommend disabling it, and you can decommission this host and let it get re-discovered and it should create a new host entry.
