Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often indication that other memory is corrupt.

Getting this error when trying to look at any jobs history. All jobs are coming up missed at the moment, so really need to be able to look at the job history to find out what is going on.

I have attched a screen shot of the full error.

I am running backup exec 12.5 with SP2 installed on a 2003 server that also has SP2 installed.

  • Try this KB article: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH66917

  • The previous network manager has installed .Net Framework 4 Client Profile and Extended. Should I reinstall these first or just uninstall them and reinstall 3.5 SP1?

  • Some windows updates that were missing fixed the problem.

    Thanks
