Backup Exec 12 to SAN over fiber switch

Hello,

We have Backup Exec 12.1364 and a backup tape library with fiber drive.

I would like to connect my library to fiber switch and manage it with Backup Exec.

Do i need any additional modules/plugins in order to be able to do that?

    No additional modules/licences are required for managing a tape library/drive through fibre switch by using BE.

    But if you want multiple media servers to share secondary storage devices like Tape librarie,syou need SAN shared Storage Option (SSO).

    ...you forgot to add that in order to use SAN SSO properly, every server that needs to be backed up via the SAN needs to have SAN connectivity, and a full version of Backup Exec with all agents installed.

    Otherwise it is a normal SAN backup!
