Is the BE server alos a VM? Are you using hotadd method for backin up the VM's?
In BE server under disk management do you see these disks listed?

In BE server under disk management do you see these disks listed? There were not showing, but when i rebooted the BE Server they showed up under disks in VSphere, they are both exchange data drives.
On bootup of the BE server the services will not start, can you tell me what account you are using to run your BE services ?
Thank you for your advise on this issue.

We have seen similar issue on another customer setup where BE server rebooted during the backup (hotadd method and BE was also on a VM).
In that case customer worked with VMware support. They dettached the disks from BE server (disk management) and later removed it from vsphere console for BE server.
For remote VM's they create a snapshot and deleted it which fixed the issue on remote VM's.
I will recommend you to consult VMware support before following these steps as these were followed with VMware support.
