Backup Exec 16 Hyper-V Cluster Issues

Hello

I have recently installed the trial version of BE16 on a dedicated server, I have included the Agent for VMware and Hyper-V when installing the server.

I have a 3 node Hyper-V cluster, all 3 nodes are WS 2012R2. I have added these 3 servers through Backup and Restore - Servers and Virtual Disks - Add - Microsoft Hyper-V Host.

The remote push worked fine for all 3 hosts but I am unable to see any HA VM's to backup, if I select a host from the server list, right click, select backup, Backup to disk, in the backup definition properties I only get C:, EFI System partition, System State and Microsoft Hyper-V, if I expand Hyper-V I see no VM's listed (Which I expect) But I did expect to see HA Virtual Machines as an option so I can see and select which HA VM's to backup.

Have I missed something along the way? any guidance would be appreciated. I have attached a screenshot of the backup properties.

Thanks

  • If you're running any firewalls on the 4 servers, turn it off and then try again. Also make sure the RAWS agent is started on the Hyper-V hosts. Thanks!
  • Can you find the failover cluster computer name under the tab " Backup and Restore"?

If not, you may manually add this.
