Backup Exec 2014 and Hyper-V, very slow incremental backups

I have Backup Exec 2014 (14.1 Rev. 1786). The BE server installed in Windows Server 2008R2 on ProLiant DL360p Gen8 with 16 Gb memory and 2 processors (8 cores) and 15k HDDs and 2GB network connection. I make backup to HP 1x8 Autoloader G2 with LTO-6 drive and SAS connection to the server.

I backup VMs from Hyper-V 2008R2 and Hyper-V 2012R2 hosts. There are vhd and vhdx disks on Hyper-V 2012R2 for the VMs.

Job rate for Hyper-V 2008R2:

Full backup - ~3500-5000 MB/min

Incremental backup - ~120-220 MB/min

Job rate for Hyper-V 2012R2:

VHD:

Full backup - ~3500-4500 MB/min

Incremental backup - ~150-300 MB/min

VHDX:

Full backup - ~4000-5500 MB/min

Incremental backup - ~130-550 MB/min

We can see that vhdx gives little higher job rate then vhd. And that doesnt obviously.

I had the same problem with job rate on a BE 2012 and opened a case. My problem was not solved and I was given this link http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH208904

Why does job rate for incremental backups so low? How to increase the speed?

    ...have you read that TN, and tried to implement the MS Incremental backup option?

    It seems to be an issue with Hyper-V itself...

    Yes, I have read than. But now I have BE 2014 and I have Hyper-V 2012R2. I didnt find the MS Incremental backup option.

    ...then it might be worthwhile opening a case with Symantec. I still think it seems to be an issue with Windows, but please post back with an update.

    Its enabled via Powershell using the snap.IncrementalBackupEnabled cmdlet.

    What OS VMs must be? 2008R2 and 2012R2?

    What about Hyper-V 2008R2?

    It appears to be Server 2012...not 2008 R2. This refers to the actual VM.

    OK, my Hyper-V host has 2012R2 version.

    My VMs have Windows Server 2012 version of the Hyper-V Integration Services, but they have 2008R2 OS version. Can I use Microsoft incremental backups option?

      Using the agent for HyperV I am starting to backup our guests. The fulls seem to be okay but the differentials take a while; like 1.5 hours for 5.8 Gigs. I tried all the how to links but they are dead links. Any new info on this?
