Backup Exec Alert Email Text

Is there a way to modify the wording in the email alerts from Backup Exec?

I would like to go from this:Backup Exec Alert: Job Failed (Server: "{servername}") (Job: "{jobname}")

to something more like this:B-E Alert: Job Failed (Job: "{jobname}")  (Server: "{servername}")

and from this:Backup Exec Alert: Job Completed with Exceptions (Server: ""{jobname}")  (Server: "{servername}")

to something like this: B-E Alert: Exceptions on  (Server: "{servername}")  (Server: ""{jobname}")  (Server: "{servername}")

Or anything I want it to say....the "Backup Exec Alert:" takes too much room.  Add the "Job Completed with Exceptions " and it just takes too much of the subject area.

Thank you!

  • Unfortunately, no.

I believe some other user has suggested this as an improvement in the Ideas section.  You can add your vote to the idea.  If there are enough users, it might be implemented in some future release of BE.
