Backup Exec and Backup Exec Agent Connectivity testing

Hi, we have two servers. On one we have installed Backup Exec and on the other we have installed Backup Exec Agent. I just want to know all the methods with which we can test connectivity of Backup Exec & Backup Exec agent. Thanks
