Backup Exec Catalog Failure using Disk Cartridge

When trying to restore a SQL database the job froze with no progression for well over an hour (Database may be 30 Gig). I stopped the job and ran CHKDSK on the drive; drive errors were corrected and at this point, the restore points that should have been on this drive were no longer available. As I stated, the catalog job failed.

Is there a way to fix the catalog procedure to access the current data on the drive. By the way, the job states the media files used is less than what is on the drive;.will deleting the extra files on the drive make it consistent?

    Sorry, forgot to add failure of the Catalog attempt..

    Final error: 0xe00084ca - The data being read from the media is inconsistent.

      It is possible that your catalog job failed because the disk is damaged.  If this is so, then there is nothing that BE can do.
