Backup Exec Exception - VSS Snapshot warning. File c:\windows\system32\drivers\dcdbas64.sys is not present on the snapshot.
We are running a backup of our Backup Exec server (and several other servers). We are getting an consistently getting an exception on the System State backup of the BEW server that is shown above. We've checked and this file does not exist on the server. We are running Windows 2008 Enterprise SP2 on a Dell 2950 and Backup Exec 12.5, with the latest patches (Via LiveUpdate).
Any ideas on how to remedy this issue or ideas on why it is happening would be greatly appreciated.

A product installer - possibly from a 3rd party app has registered that file as being required for a System State backup and not then removed the registration from the System State when the file was removed.
Either identify the vendor of the file and speak to them about a fix - or create a file with the same name in the same folder. Note it is unlikely that you will need the specific file for a restore (assuming your server does restart correctly currently)
As an example nVidia drivers are known to cause a similar problem
