Backup Exec FIPS support

Hello,

Do all versions of Backup Exec >2012 contain the FIPS software module ?

It requires no special TPM HW module or other HW correct ?

    Hello Harryd,

    Yes, Backup Exec 12.0 and up support FIPS. There's no need for any special hardware.

    To enable FIPS go into Backup Exec Options or Settings (depends on version). On Network and Security you should see the ability to turn FIPS on under data encryption. Then, just cycle BE services and you should be good to go.
