backup exec IBM ts3100's tape library backup works?

My side of the backup software is Backup exec 2010 R2 have a tape library IBM ts3100's and my question is: usually the backup to tape will do the labeling, such as SATURDAY equipment, differential backup on Monday, Tuesday, differential backup, etc., I would like to ask Is how to know which backup software tape backup is the day to do it, how it is positioning? When I do a scheduled backup option to specify when the backup was not specified in the tape library slot ah? Before that only a single contact with the tape drive (only a box of tapes), hoping that the specific point of the best, thank you.

    Hi,

     

    You're wanting to know which tape will be used when?

    Depending on your Overwrite Protection Period (OPP) and Append Period, this will dictate which tape to use. You wouldn't be able to choose the specific tape.

    Because you're doing a differential backup, partitioning your library isn't an option. So you need to rely on your OPP and Append Period being correct.

    Thank your for me to answer,You mean I can tape library as a whole memory it? Then I want to know is if I restore it, need to find a backup before the tape? If you do not need it how to do this ah? Thank you
