Backup Exec Library Expansion Option

Hello Team I want to backup data to a Dell RD1000 (1 TB of hd) 7 in total using Backup Exec.

Do I need to buy Backup Exec Library Expansion Option License?

    If you are buying 7 disk cartridge Dell RD1000 units, you do not have a library and do not need the Library Expansion Option.  Those would just present themselves to BE as simple disk cartridge units.

    If you are buying one of the other brands, like Tandberg, that make up an iSCSI VTL, then you might need a license if it presents more than one emulated tape drive.
