Backup Exec licensing trouble windows/oracle/SAP/SQL
I have got 10 servers running SAP applications and Oracle databases. 5 servers running SQL server databases.
All servers are on Windows 2008 R2.
I am having trouble in choosing the right licensing options/agents for my servers.
As I want to backup all the dabatases and windows environment including SAP application environments, does that mean I have to purchase
15 Backup Exec Agent for Windows and
10 Backup Exec Agent for Applications and Databases (for oracle)
and Backup Exec Agent for Applications and Databases (for SQL server)
Could anyone please guide me on the licensing and please let me know what are the required agents that I have to purchase.
You haven't specified Backup Exec version?
Note : Agent for SAP has been discontinued in BE2012

To backup 10 Oracle servers you need 10 Agent for app & database.
To backup 5 SQL servers you need 5 Agent for app & database.
No need to buy Agent for Windows as its included in the Agent for app & database.
