Backup Exec Trust relationship

Hi All,

 

At time of Agent Installation we establish a trust relationship between the media server and the remote agent computer.

But after 6 months period Backup is failed with Trust Relationship Error. why it need  to reestablish trust relationship between Media server and Remote Agent.

What is SSL certificate Expiry period?

    When connecting to a remote computer from the Backup Exec server, a trust needs to be established between the Backup Exec server and the remote computer.
     
    Backup Exec issues a security certificate for both the Backup Exec server and the remote computer. The security certificate is valid for approximately one year and is automatically renewed during normal operations. However, if the certificate expires the trust must be re-established.

    Push out the remote agents again to re-established trust.

    Is there any specific reason to Expiry of SSL before period.

    Hi

     

    This would only happen when there are issue with cert keys ,so establishing the trust would help to get new set of cert keys & thus establish the trust between Media server & remote agent on remote server
