Backup Exec/proxy server
If the customer upgrades to the latest version of backup exec, does backup exec have the ability to backup a “mapped drive” from a host ( proxy or other)

You cannot backup a mapped drive because mapped drives are associated with an online session and BE runs a batch job. If you want to backup a share, use its UNC path.
