Backup network share without Windows Agent
Hi,
We are getting error while trying to backup some shares on Windows servers that do not have the Windows Agent installed. Our software is the Backup Exec 2010.
The jobs are returning the error below, indicating some problems related to connectivity that do not exist.
Final error: 0xe0000f02 - The media server could not connect to the remote computer. The remote computer may not exist on the selected subnet. Try an alternative network interface, or allow Backup Exec to choose any available network interface. Final error category: Resource Errors |
We have red some posts/ articles, but haven't find conclusive answers. Is it possible to backup remote Windows servers without de Windows Agent installed on Backup Exec 2010?
Tks,
Marcelo Barros
Although we have only one NIC and only one subnet configured, it was necessary “force” the use of a specific NIC on the job configuration (Settings -> Network and Security). By anyway, the BE was not finding the destination server without this configuration. For me, it seems a bug.
Now the jobs are completing with the status “Completed with exceptions ”.
Thanks everyone for the help.
