BE 2010 Cluster resource does not appear
Under Backup Selection List, the clustered node that currently 'owns' the cluster does not list the drive representing the cluster (it's the E: drive). C & D are there. I found some info that said cluster behavior is different with BE 2010, but the post did not elaborate. The BE server is not clustered. The server in question is running the remote agent.
Per the 3rd party app that runs on the cluster, I have to choose the E: drive for backup and not the cluster name.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Its not clear if you have installed the Remote agent on both the nodes of the cluster.
So first make sure that you have installed updated Remote Agent on both the nodes.
Then in Backup Exec selection list you should be able to see the cluster name under which the E: drive should be seen as that is the only clustered drive.
Active Node: Server 1
Passive node: Server 2
So your cluster name will be different lets say SERVER. So you will be able to see SERVER in selection list under which there will be E: drive.
Thanks.
