The customer has the list of servers that need the backup. This list has a total of 18 servers and 6TB. Retention is one year. Using disk with DEDUP.
To keep the monthly backups for a year, how much disk will it take?
How do I make these calculations?
...it's the "how long is a piece of string" question. the link above MIGHT help (as I mentioned) but I haven't seen much in the way of a 100% accurate dedupe calculator. Read the BE documentation and they should be able to give you a 30-40% compression/dedupe ratio for instance.
But it's all dependant on similar OS's, type of data etc.
