  • First, try removing and readding the Agent for Application & Database license.

Secondly, in newer versions of BE, one cannot have SQL specific credentials. So, do ensure the BE account has necessary permissions such as "sa".

  • 1. We used license of Capacity Edition

    2. We have other systems with SQL Server and SQL on Windows Cluster that we successful to backup the SQL

    3. We Re-Install the BE Agent on each node on the cluster and reboot the system and

We still do not see the SQL Database backup Selection when we try to run backup, we see only the Cluster drive with all the data files.

  • The BE Account have full  permissions such as "sa" in the SQL Cluster database

We check the user with microsoft sql server management studio and it work fine

  • Do you see the SQL instances when viewed via the node itself directly ?

Have you tried removing the virtual IP from the Backup & Restore tab and readding it ?

  • 1. I don't see  the SQL instances via the node itself directly on the backup Selection of the active node

    2. I remove the virtual IP from the Backup & Restore tab and re-adding it, and I still don't see the SQL Database backup Selection and only the cluster share drive with all the data files.

  • Pls enable SGmon debugging on the BE server and both the SQL nodes.

Try browsing the selection list again and pls post the debug logs over here as an attachment.

An alternative would be to log a support case and have an engineer work with you directly. Thanks.

  • I enable the debug mode

The log attached when i open the backup selection of the virtual ip(cluster)  and not see the SQL Instance

  • The debug has to be enabled on all appropriate servers and not just one.

Secondly "verbose" mode may be required for the beremote debugging.

Lastly, attach the debug files from all servers and not a screenshot. Thanks.
