Hello, we have an LTO4 tape which was previously used ona v12 backup exec system, we are now trying to import the tape and catalog the media into a 12.5 system. I am able to inventory the tape but when I try and catalog the tape it just sits queued, its loaded into the library but doesnt seem to be doing anything else. Appreciate any help.
...check to see if there are any pending alerts and respond to them. You might get this if it was part of a spanned set for instance.

Check if there is any outstanding alert which requires a response or not.
Any message logged in the windows event viewer ?
From the Devices tab, right-click the BE server name and choose Pause. Wait for about 10 seconds and click on Pause again. Does this help with the catalog job ?
No outstanding alerts. Wondering if its a media problem or not.
