Constantly receiving Stalled and No Communication

I have a CASO server that is in my data center and multiple WAN MMS's across the states. I have this created via a VPN from datacenter to each firewall on site.

I constantly have the Stalled and No Communcation pop up and then I restart the services and it comes back.

How can I make this a more consistent connection so I dont have any backup issues?

  • I used to leave it at 120 seconds, but changing them all to a slow connection seemed to do the trick nicely for me.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

I got this sorted out by changing the time period in which the MMS servers sent their updates to the CASO and placed them on a slow link connection in the settings.

Go to each MMS server in the managed media server section on the CASO and change accordingly.

    Thanks!

  • As CraigV mentioned try changing the Connection Setting so that amount of time before the managed Backup Exec server's status changes from Communication Stalled to No Communication is increased.

    refer to these links:

  • I updated all the MMS servers to SLOW connection and 120 secs.

CraigV what is yours set @ for the amount of time?

  • I used to leave it at 120 seconds, but changing them all to a slow connection seemed to do the trick nicely for me.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks for the quick response.

I will let you know the results tomorrow.

    THanks,
