Correct Way Of Backing Up Hyper-V Hosts
Hi All,
I'm still trying to fine tune my backups to give the best bang for the buck time and effort wise.
At present I am backing up all my Hyper-V vm's without GRT, and separately backing up my Exchange 2003 information store (VM).
I was under the impression that if you backed up a VM using GRT then you could restore items like Exchange or AD, however I am unable to get this to work.
When I attempt to use GRT for my VM's the backup fails with the log message: "an invalid parameter was specified".
Should I be able to do it this way,or am I missing the point here?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Regards,
It's always preferable to separate database and file backups from each other, especially if you have AOFO enabled.
Thanks!
