Dat 72 device Backup Exec10 question

hello i have a dat 72 device and a quantum tape dasy chain together in backup exec i see both and in device manager also i can do inventory of the quantum when i insert a tape there is 4 tapes in the dat72 but when i right click on it there is no option to do inventory 

what could be wrong ?

    hello all

    i have been able to use it now i was needed to initialize it then the inventory was working when i try at first i was receiving no idle device found 

    now it ok i can run inventory and catalog also
