  • Note this procedue should probably be done with support assistance, however some notes:

If you bring up the properties/details of the set that hs been deleted, I think it gives a catalog file name/id in one of the tabs. The name will be in the form of a long GUID possibly in brackets with an _n number on the end.

If you then go to the catalogs folder you should find a .FH file and a .xml file that matches the name of the catalog from the properties of the set. If you remove these files (suggest a copy to another location not a direct delete) and then restart the BE services or run a catrebuildindex you should find the entries disappear from the console.

Note 1: because the GUIDS are fiddly and can be similar to each other be very careful to identify the correct ones (although sorting the catalogs folder by date might help a little bit if you know which dates the backup sets were created) If you delete the wrong catalogs, for tapes it will mean missing restore selections and a catalog job needed to recreated, for disk based sets it may mean that your data retention timings are also affected as these are part of the catalogs

Note 2: this process will take a while if a lot of backup sets are involved.

  • This will most likely involve editing records out of the BEDB. Would recommend to log a formal support case.

  • We have this exact same issue; If a resolution is found please share it

  • I would definitely log a support case for this. Messing around in BEDB is not something you want to do, you can make things worse very fast.
