Disable Client Side Deduplication for Vmware Agent Backup

Hi Folks,

I am using Backup Exec 2012 SP1a on Windows Server 2008R2 with 32Gb Ram and 2xCPU with 4Cores.

I've created an Dedupe Storage Area and I disabled the Client Side Deduplication on the Storage.

After completing the first Backup on an Vmware Host the job completes with exceptions.

On the VM I installed the the Remote Backup Agent.

 

While searching for an option to disable the Client Side Deduplication in the Backup Job I found this article:

Unfortunately in my version of Backup Exec 2012 SP1a there is no option in the Job to disable Deduplication.

What can I do to prevent this error?

    Hallo, 

    dadurch das sie client side deduplication am Storage desaktiviert haben finden sie nicht die option im Jobsetup.

    Ii der von ihnen zitierten technote wird genau beschrieben, das sie erst die Option am Storage aktivieren muessen und im Jobsetup sie individuel fuer jeden Server aktivieren oder halt nicht.

     

    Because you disabled client side dedupe on the storage you will not find the option to enable or disable it in the jobsetup.
