duplicate job on USB device not work

Hi,

I have windows 2008 R2 server and backup exec 2014 SP2 (ver. 14.1 rev 1786, 64bit).

I have a deduplicate storage for backup FULL and Incremental.

I have configurated a dublicate jobs for all backup FULL on a 2 external USB disk.

I have configurated a storage pool 'external disk' whit external USB member and configurated in storage to duplicate job.

The duplicate job run after source task complete.

 

The problem:

The job run but not write (job status is Active:running but not write data in USB device).

I have delete and recreate job and storage but not works.

help me

    This may be because the USB device does not support e512 sector emulation.   I have had to use low level format utilities on most USB devices to get them to work. 

    Pre-allocation selected on a USB device without proper sector emulation won't work.

    Make sure that the USB drives are online before you start your duplicate job. Also try targeting the individual disks to make sure that everything is o.k. before targeting the device pool

    the USB drives are online.

    I test the configuration with individual disk USB but not work.

    1) Are these disk attached to the media server?

    2) Are you able to allocate disk storage on them?

    3) Are you able to do a backup (not duplicate) to them and not the pool?

    1. yes the usb disk are attached to the media server

    2. yes

    3. yes. I have scheduled two job backup FULL (not duplicate) on usb and it work.

    I have:

    run job backup FULL on dedup storage (SAN) and at the end of the jobs run duplicate backup jobs FULL on USB.

    if so I should not be able to make even backup... or am I wrong?

    Try targeting the duplicate job to disk storage on a normal disk and see what happens

    I configured duplicate storage on secondary disk attached on media server (D:)

    the duplicate job not work.
