Duplicate jobs are bigger than original

Question

Hi,
I have a problem with Backup Exec 12.0 Rev 1364 SP 5
I have a policy job that first create a full backup job to backup to disk folder device and later duplicate this data on tape. My problem is that in the first full job the size of the copy is 147GB (this is reported in byte count colum in job history), but the duplicate job size 293 GB. Also I have another job with the same problem but in this case the differents size it's bigger than first case.

Someone can said me what happens?

What data are you backing up ?
have look on the following doc http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&amp;id=TECH69678
Did you tried creating a the policy ?
Are the data either compressed or encrypted when they were originally backed up?&nbsp; If so, is the duplicate job compressing them again.&nbsp; Compressing either a compressed or encrypted file may result in a bigger output file.&nbsp; You should turn off compression if the original backup compress or encrypt the data
