Email Alert backup exec 2010 R3

Hi,

Since last tuesday, i dont receive any alerts through my mail anymore.

I havent changed anything, I have only patched all the microsoft updates on my machines, Before that day, everything worked properly

 

The allerts wich are sent internal they come into the mailbox. The alerts send to an external mailadres the dont arrive.

Whats the issue here? I work with exchange 2010 sp1 and edge transport server.

As far as i acan see the receive and send connectors are properly configured.

 

Who cn help me solve this problem

    I think anonymous relay is not enabled, you can enable it on the receive connector as following:

    Get-ReceiveConnector "External Relay" | Add-ADPermission -User "NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON" -ExtendedRights "ms-Exch-SMTP-Accept-Any-Recipient"

     

    Replace "External Relay" with the name of your connector.

    Hi,

     

    Which MS patches were installed? Have you tried to recreate the mail settings on your media server?

    I have this connector already configured.

    I has always worked properly and i dont have changed anything in the connector etc

    To be sure, run a telnet from your backup exec media server to the exchange server on port 25 and type the commands to send a message manual:

    helo
    mail from:backup@internaldomain.nl
    rcpt to:mail@external.com
    data
    type a message here
    .

    see what it does, maybe it comes with an error after rcpt to:

    Hi,

    that doenst work good:

    500 5.3.3 Unrecognized command

    501 5.5.4 unrecognized parameter

    im getting there several errors

    Helo is good, from also.

    but then i went wrong

    rcpt to: goes wrong right ?

    Then it is defenitely the Exchang server, it will not relay to external adresses !

    Please check your receive connectors !

    ok, what should i futher have to check:

    permissions groups is al

    fqdn: mytransport@domain

    network, ipv4 port 25,

    ip adres of my backup and transport and exchange server

    authentification: TLS
