Encryption on backup exec 9.1

Hi

We are using veritas backup exec 9.1 for taking backups of our Oracle based files.

Is there an option to encrypt the backups?

If this product doesnt have that feature, are there any alternatives

We probably cannot upgrade to Netbackup.

Thanks

  • Hello,

We would like to inform you that Backup Exec (tm) does not encrypt data on media.
Backup Exec can only password protect media. If the password is set, then it is required when you catalog or restore media.

    Please see the technote:

    Thanks,
