exchange 2007 0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource

Hello

we have server 2008, exchange 2007,
Backup Exec 12.5  is on server 2003
backing up exchange 2007 is complete ok

but all restores fail with
Final error: 0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource.  Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again.  If the server or resource no longer exists, remove it from the selection list. Edit the selection list properties, click the View Selection Details tab, and then remove the resource.

i tried this document

and many other things, same results

i tried to restore individual items and also to recovery group, same error.

i need some assistance,.

    Hello,

    Create a new account in AD named : symantec with following settings:
    1  : Member of the Domain Admin group and Local Admin Group if Exchange is a member server
    2  : Create a Mailbox for Symantec, send a test email and oprn it in OWA to activate the Mailbox.
    3  : Make sure that the Mailbox is not hidden from the Global Address List.
    4  : Add the account "symantec" as Exchange Server Administrator in Exchange Management Console.

    Open Backup Exec, go to TOOLS--Logon Accounts and Change the Logon Account to "symantec", make sure that "system Logon Account" and "Default Logon Account" is symantec.

    Now restore any individual item from exchange backups.

    Did you try creating a new account ? this issue is a credential issue in 99% cases...

    Hello,

    Check if ese.dll file is of the same version on Exchange 2007 and the Backup Exec Server.

    Hello,

    Run SGMon.exe (C:\prog. files\symantec\backup exec\sgmon.exe) check "Job Engine, RAWS, Agent" , VxMon and run the job keeping SGMon open...Check Capture to file and attach the files in the forum. Perform same on the Exchange Server.

    Lets us find where exactly the job is getting stopped.
