exchange daily incremental backups

I am having a problem with exchange daily incremental backup sets. Have been getting this for the past three days now.

Job ended: 8. mars 2012 at 23:28:42
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe0000393 - Cannot extract mailbox messages from the Exchange backup. Review the job log for more information.
Final error category: Resource Errors

Previosuly when i used to get this error, i have tried recreating the job and it worked then. However the problem has recurred again.

    The backups are working fine. I guess the issue was with the space on the backup volume. Once i got sufficient space on the backup volume the backups are working fine.

    You don't mention your exchang version, what is your Exchange version (and SP) ?

    Are full backups working fine ?

    Sorry..Exchange Server 2010 version:14.01.0355.002

    media server is BE2010 R3

    Can you recreate a new incremental job and also recreate the selection list, just to be sure.

    Hi,

    I am not really certain if this has got to do with a space issue or with something esle. The incremental backups have started running successfully again. I havent changed anything. One thing i noticed is that the backup volume ( total size is 9TB) had just 25-27 gb left when the backups failed.  However yesterday when the backups succeded the free space on the backup voulme was 225GB free. Do you think the " Cannot extract mailbox messages" are happening due to space issue? So far i have noticed this problem only for Daily incremental backup jobs.
