Expand a local De-dup Folder

We are runing BE2014 on Windows 2008 R2 with a single media server. The De-dup folder is on a NTFS partition with cluster size default to 4 KB of size 13 TB. It's limited to 16 TB max but we need to expand it over a new storage expansion of 27 TB.

So how can we overcome the limitation to create a new De-dup folder with total capcity of 40 TB without losing any existing backup sets?

    My volume won't extend beyond 16 TB because fs cluster size was default to 4K.

    So I have to create a new volume with cluster size set to 32K and move the De-dup folder to it. What concerns us is whether any backup set could get lost?

    Our BE 2014 media server has limit of 1 Du-dup folder. By saying that we can't add another De-dup folder without disable/delete the current one.

    What happens to backup set if we disable/delete the current De-dup folder? Do they get dehydrated or deleted? What happens to their records in De-dup database?
