getting a list of VMs protected by Backup Exec
We are backing up multiple VMs in diffrent gourps which go to diffrent storeonce deviecs; Is there an easy way to get a list of the VMs through a command line or a report. We often get requests wherein someone wants to check if a VM is being protected or not; at the moment; we are having to edit each job to see where the backup is configured.
Ideally I would expect a backup product to provide a list of protected VMs and the job name in some sort of report; cant seem to figure that out in backup exec 21
I just tried and the report can be generated as attached.
Steps: Reports --> New custom report.
Left column is the VM name
Right column is the job name
