High cpu usage DLOAdminSvcu.exe

Hi all,

I'm experienced the following problem:

The service DLOAdminSvcu.exe keeps using between 20-25%. Im using Windows Server 2011.

I have tried all the troubleshooting i could find already.

Does anybody has a solution for this problem, i would greatly appreciate this.

Kind regards,

Roy

  • Lol...OK!

    1. Download the trial version of BE 2010 R3 from the link below (or use FileConnect which you will have access too with a valid contract)...

    http://www.symantec.com/offer?a_id=91523

    2. Stop your BE services, and grab a copy of your Data and Catalog folders.

    3. Either burn the ISO to a DVD, or mount to a virtual DVD-ROM. Run the installer which will upgrade your version of BE. Also, stop your AV services during the upgrade run.

    That's it...

  • Hi,

Check and make sure your AV isn't scanning the BE service exe's for your installation. Put in an exclusion and see what happens then.

I'd also recommend updating BE with any available patches.

    Thanks,

  • Hello Craig,

I have done that, but the problem still remains...

    Got other options?

    Thanks,

  • ...restart the services and check again.

...and I assume this is SBS 2011? Are you using BE 2010 R3 which has support for it?

  • SBS 2011 isn't on the SCL as a supported configuration for a media server.

That could be why you're getting that high CPU utilisation. I'd recommend upgrading to BE 2010 R3 which does support SBS 2011. It would be a free upgrade, and you can use your current BE 2010 R2 license keys!

    Thanks!

  • Thanks, it's a bit better after installing all updates via LiveUpdate.

Can you please tell me the procedure to upgrade from R2 to R3?

Then im totally helped out :)

    Thanks!
