How to push-install Active Directory and Exchange Agents?
Hello I'm using trial version of Backup Exec 2014 14.1 SP2,
I installed "Agents for Applications and Databases":
Then I go to "Install Agents and Backup Exec Servers on Other Servers":
But I didn't get the "Agents for Applications and Databases" in the list:
What's going wrong?
Then I tried install from the "Servers and Virtual Hosts" (the "Add button"):
But it doesn't give me an option to select Active Directory or Exchange Agent.
What's the recommended way to install Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server Agents and how to backup and restore users, mails, table rows using them?
You won't...push-install the RAWS agent.
The license simply unlocks the media server's ability to "see" those applications, and communicates with the remote server and essentially with application for backup/restore through the RAWS agent.
Do so, and once done, check the resources of those servers within BE and you will see both AD and Exchange.
Thanks!yes, that is correct. You will see nothing around those licenses to install...just push-install the RAWS agent and make sure that if you have a firewall running on the servers, that port 10000 is open.
