How to Restore Windows XP backup in Windows 7?

Right now, I am using windows 7 operating system and now want to restore old windows XP BKF data in windows 7 platform. Is it possible with any backup application?

  • ...anyways, Windows 7 is not supported as a media server for any version of Backup Exec. Best bet is to load a workstation with Windows XP and restore the *.bkf files with that. And this is all assuming you're using Backup Exec in the first place.

    Thanks!

  • Hello Rosemarry,

If you performed a backup with Backup Exec then all you need to do is to restore that .zip file.

Note:  Backup Exec is NOT a tool to recover corrupted .zip files. It is a backup/restore application.

  • ...is this a troll effort like in he Online Backup section where everybody starts posting about zip recover solutions?

    Not being funny...

  • ...so this question has moved from being a query about how to restore a zip file to how to restore Windows XP *.bkf files?

I've seen this query on the Online Backup section too where people trolled their various non-Symantec products.

Are you asking a serious, legitimate question here?
